Employee Highlight: Meet Mitch McIlhenny!
Boo! It’s October! And that means it’s time for another Employee Highlight! We’d like you to meet our friend, Mitchell McIlhenny! Mitchell came onboard July of 2018, so just over a year ago. He does an amazing job as a Regional Sales Rep covering Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
Mitch keeps busy with new and exciting tasks almost every day! Since he’s an outside Sales Rep, his days never look the same. He usually spends Mondays in his home office preparing for the week ahead. The rest of his week is spent traveling, visiting customers. Since Mitch covers 4 states, he gets to see a lot of unique cities and towns in areas he never would’ve gotten to see otherwise. It’s always an adventure when Mitch hits the road!
Mitch’s favorite part of this job is being about to meet so many new people! Building relationships with his clients and making new ones through cold calls is enjoyable for this social Rep. Mitch puts his creative side to work by brainstorming different ideas that can help us as a company. His goal is to support Asher’s doing the best for our clients and their end consumers.
When employee highlight Mitch isn’t working hard, he spends his free time participating in a variety of fun activities. You can catch Mitch skating on the ice, playing in several recreational hockey leagues. To further his professional development, he is an active member of the Pittsburgh Young Professionals. He loves trying different bars and restaurants in the Pittsburgh area with friends. Mitch is a big music and movie fan, so he likes to see concerts or movies whenever he can.

Jenn has been with Asher’s since 2000, and is the Enrobing Lead to the team at our Lewistown, PA factory. However, in addition to being a wonderful leader and huge asset to the chocolate-making world, Jenn is also a talented artist. In fact, if you look up as you enter our Lewistown factory, you will be able to admire some of her work! The beautiful new sign above the factory is her work.

We first met Stephanie at the Saint Joe’s Career Fair in the Spring. From there, we brought her in for an interview and then offered her an Internship Position for the Summer of 2019 with our Marketing Department. During her time with us, she has learned an incredible amount of tasty knowledge! Stephanie has been lucky torepresent Asher’s at Wayne’s Music Festival, travel to NYC to assist in set-up for the Fancy Foods Trade Show and take a trip to visit our Lewistown Factory. On her day to day, you can find Stephanie in the “Marketing Sweet,” working on Social Media Content Calendars, writing Employee Newsletters or creating Blogs.
Julia is a busy Sales Rep, always on the go! Day-to-day, she plans customer visits. A lot of preparation goes into these meetings which include researching the accounts’ sales history, store hours, Facebook posts, and any relevant information that would be helpful. To keep on a timely schedule, Julia makes sure to map out the route she will take to visit each customer in the general region. She always uses the app Waze to plug in customer addresses and the time she would like to arrive. She swears by Waze to help her stay on track by giving her a predicted traffic pattern for specific times throughout the day.
